How much is a domain name and hosting?
Generally, a domain name plus web-hosting will cost from $50/year and up. For the higher-priced package you should have access to additional features from your web-host provider like an e-mail account, control panel access to manage hosting add-ons like blogs and e-commerce, etc. I don't host websites, but I recommend GoDaddy, Lunar Pages and Dream Host to start with. Basic sites are about $5/month (less if you prepay for an extended period). Always make sure that you are the owner of your domain name and the administrative contact for your website. By purchasing your domain and hosting you are the default owner and contact.
I am always available to clients for technical assistance and recommendations - some of which you will find above under "Tool-Tips!".
What are your design rates and packages?
Eat Paint Studio offers 2 main web design packages starting at $1,500. The "essential" package gets you up to 10 pages of your very own custom design and layout, Search Engine Optimization, Google Analytics and submission to major search engines.

The estimated time-frame for website development can range from 6 weeks to 6 months. It will vary by site needs and the content development process. Before we begin, I will sit down with you and go over specific site needs and work with you to develop a realistic and efficient project phase outline.
E-mail text and image updates to me. Your updates are completed in approximately 3 - 7 days, depending on complexity and Eat Paint Studio work flow. When completed, a notification is sent to you to review the changes. Rates are $50/hour (or quoted by the project if a big update) - there is no monthly fee from Eat Paint Studio to maintain your website in this way.
If desired, a content management system may be integrated with your site package (not for use with artist galleries at this time). Prices and solutions may vary, a project evaluation is needed to determine specific costs.
I can integrate features from services like PayPal and Google or another e-commerce storefront provider. If you need a custom e-commerce site I can work with a programmer to make that happen.
How do I improve my Google ranking?
No one can promise you #1 ranking on Google. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) refers to choosing keywords, META tags and page content (readable, concise and made for humans) that will perform well in searches. The only way to become "popular" is to develop specific and relevant content and make sure that your site is submitted to all search-engines. Don't pad your pages with a keyword (visible or invisible) or create dummy pages with your URL repeated adinfintum. Attempting to exploit loopholes in different search-engines will only get your site bounced. Your domain name, page titles, heading values, files names and the appearance of keywords and key-phrases in your content (keyword weight) are also important. External style sheets and lean code are also useful because they allow robots access to the content of your site first, and don't throw uneccessary table data in the works. Programs that generate HTML can be messy and the code may not actually be up to code according to current web standards.
Blogs (blogger, wordpress), social networking (Twitter, Facebook), self-promotion tools (Squidoo, webrings, Yelp!), joining professional groups (Chambers of Commerce, professional trade associations), exchanging links with similar pages - all add to your sites popularity.
